A peaceful hideout – QashQai, Connaught Place
In the heart of
As I was out for a chit chat with my friends, Qashqai proved to be a great place as it was peaceful and the staff was courteous and yet not intrusive. Though they had a lavish menu that included Mediterranean food, I went straight for the Lebanese snacks. The Shish Taok was perfectly grilled and the accompanying garlic sauce was an absolute delight. The Falafel was just right, not too dry nor too crumby, yet nice and crisp. Qashqai has a good variety of cocktails and mocktails. I favored an interestingly named mocktail called “Beautiful lips” which had peach, blue curacao and a concoction of other juices. The mocktail was served in an equally interesting glass that resembled a tub. But yes the drink did live up to its name of beautiful lips as it was simply lip smacking. In fact the drink was so yummy that I even side-tracked the snacks.
To sum it up I thoroughly enjoyed my evening in the dim lighting which was accompanied by soothing music and great ambience. Though the price is a little high, I would say it is worth it as Qashqai has prompt staff, great ambience, delicious food and mocktails that make for a wonderful and wholesome dining experience.
